1) Download the latest version of DuoKan

• Kindle 3 (mirror1) (mirror2) (mirror3)
• Kindle 4 non-touch (mirror1) (mirror2) (mirror3)

2) Extract the file you just download

3) Follow the instruction for each version below.

Installation Guide For Kindle 4 NT

1) Copy down your own Kindle Serial Number and Version

1.1) Press the Menu* -> Settings -> Device info

2) Connect Kindle to PC via USB Cable

2.1) Copy “DK_System” (Folder) and “ENABLE_DIAGS” to Kindle drive. (In my case, it was (F:/)

3) Restart your kindle

3.1) Press the Menu* ->Settings -> Menu* -> Restart

4) Enable internal USB-network for file sharing

• 4.1) Choose (N) Misc individual diagnostics
• 4.2) Choose (U) Utilities
• 4.3) Choose (Z) Enable USBnet
• 4.4) When you saw IP 192.168.15.244 on your kindle, press the -> (right) on your 5 ways controller. This will enable USBnet and your screen will auto go back to option 4.3
• 4.5) If you forget your kindle serial number, choose (E) 511 with device info

5) Install RNDIS network adapter on your PC

6) Install Duokan into Kindle

• 6.1) Open “DuoKanTool.exe” under DuoKan folder.
• 6.2) Put in your serial number and choose Type 1. Press INSTALL
• 6.3) If access denied error appear, choose Type 2. Press INSTALL.
• 6.4) Wait kindle to reboot. It may takes up to 10min.

Advanced tips and tricks

1) Change Language

• Press Menu* -> choose [S] Alt+Sym
• Go to [F] and change to English

2) Quick switch to Kindle from DuoKan

• Press Menu* -> choose [S] Alt+Sym
• Choose [B] to switch

3) Uninstall DuoKan

• Press Menu* -> choose [S] Alt+Sym
• Go to 3rd page and choose [I] Uninstall

4) Put document into DuoKan

• Connect Kindle to PC via USB cable
• Put your document into “DK_Documents” folder.
• EPUB is supported !!!
